This 11-day Morocco desert tour offers a rich and immersive journey through the country’s most captivating destinations, combining imperial cities, scenic landscapes, cultural heritage, and an unforgettable Sahara experience.
Starting in Casablanca, the adventure takes you through historic cities such as Rabat, Fes, and Marrakech, where you’ll explore ancient medinas, vibrant souks, and architectural landmarks that reflect Morocco’s deep history and traditions.
A highlight of the journey is the visit to the magical blue town of Chefchaouen, nestled in the Rif Mountains, offering a relaxed atmosphere and stunning photo opportunities. As the tour continues south, you’ll travel through the breathtaking Atlas Mountains, passing cedar forests, valleys, and Berber villages.
The centerpiece of the tour is the Sahara Desert experience in Erg Chebbi near Merzouga. Here, you’ll ride camels across golden sand dunes, witness spectacular sunsets and sunrises, and spend a memorable night in a traditional desert camp under the stars, enjoying local music and cuisine.

Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival in Casablanca
Meet and greet at the airport or at your accommodation in Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic hub. Visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, located on the Atlantic Ocean. Free time for lunch and a stroll along the Casablanca Corniche. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 2
Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen
After breakfast, departure for Rabat, the country’s capital and an imperial city. Visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas. In the afternoon, continue on to Chefchaouen, passing through Ouazzane. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 3
Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
In the morning, our guide will meet you at the hotel reception to take you to another imperial city, Meknes. Before that, we’ll visit one of Morocco’s Roman ruins (Volubilis). In Meknes, we will visit the ruins of Moulay Ismail, including the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, an old wheat warehouse, the royal palace, Bab Mensour, and the Swani Basin. After touring all these sites, we will head to Fez.
Day 4
Tour of the Medina of Fez
After breakfast at your riad, you’ll begin exploring Morocco’s oldest city, strolling through its narrow alleys and streets. We’ll try to visit the historic landmarks: the gate to the Royal Palace, the Jewish quarter, and the first mellah built in Morocco, constructed during the 16th century.
We’ll make sure you visit all the cultural and historical sites, including the famous Al Qaraouine University—the oldest in the region—the Tannery, the Attarine Museum, and the Mausoleum of Mulay Idriss. After lunch, we’ll visit the tile cooperative and then enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the entire Medina of Fez.
Day 5
Fez – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Merzouga
We’ll pick you up at your hotel and head out to the desert, passing through Ifrane and the cedar forest. We’ll stop for lunch along the way, likely in Midelt, and continue on to Errachidia via the Tizi n’Tlghmt Pass.
You’ll notice the desert landscapes begin to appear as we make our way toward the Sahara. Once we arrive in the desert, we’ll enjoy a cup of tea as a gesture of Berber hospitality. Overnight at the hotel; relax and get ready for tomorrow’s camel ride.
Day 6
Visit to a nomadic family - Khamlia village - Camel ride
A free day in the desert to explore its way of life and cultural secrets. We’ll experience the nomadic lifestyle of the Bedouins and meet the Gnaoua people, who originated in sub-Saharan Africa. After lunch, we’ll take you back to the desert for a camel adventure, where you’ll spend the night at a desert camp.
Day 7
Merzouga - Rissani - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley
You’ll wake up early to watch one of the most breathtaking sunrises. Afterward, we’ll hike back from your camp, get ready to leave the Sahara for Rissani, visit the market, and continue on to the Todra Gorge and the Dades Valley, where we’ll spend the night.
Day 8
Dades Valley – Valley of Roses – Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakesh
We leave the Dades Valley and head to Marrakech, passing through the Valley of Roses and “African Hollywood” (the city of Ouarzazate), where many films have been shot. We continue on to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, Morocco’s oldest and most exotic historic site. From there, we continue toward Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains.
Day 9
Visit to Marrakech
After breakfast at the riad, we’ll begin our tour of Marrakech, “the Red City of Morocco,” which was founded in the 12th century by the Almoravid dynasty. We’ll focus on visiting the most important sites of cultural and historical heritage. You’ll have the opportunity to visit the Saadian Tombs, the Majorelle Gardens, and the Koutoubia Tower.
In addition, our guide will take you to see Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, the city’s souk, and then on to the famous Medina Square, where you can watch and discover the fascinating snake charmers, “entertaining shows” where professionals or comedians tell fabulous and amusing jokes and riddles... In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to stroll around and explore other parts of the city on your own.
Day 10
Marrakech - Casablanca
